Red-and green macaws

The red-and-green macaws can be observed in various places across South America. Brazil is one of the countries that have multiple unique wildlife locations where large numbers of red-and-green macaws can be found. The Southern Pantanal offers great opportunities to observe and photograph these colorful birds. There is, in particular, one location where over 70 pairs macaws live year-round. It is a sinkhole with a stunning view of these birds. Even more impressive is when they fly around in the sinkhole in groups, their calls echoing, and the ever-changing light provides photographers with stunning and dramatic photo opportunities. This unique wildlife location is as well great to experiment with different type of photographs, such as panning blurs. The image portfolio below, shows a small impression of the type of images you can take home. Hopefully, it inspires you and makes you want to plan your trip to Brazil.
